Account and Data Deletion

Important – This Cannot Be Undone:

Deleting your Voyager account closes it immediately and permanently. You will not be able to get your trips, notes or photos back. If you would like a copy of your data first, email us before you delete your account and we will send it to you.

Deleting your account does not cancel a Voyager Pro subscription. Cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play settings.

Your Right to Erasure

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"). We will process your request in accordance with applicable law and within the timeframes set out below.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Your account is closed at once and you are signed out on all your devices.
Your name, email address, profile photo and notification tokens are erased, and your sign-in account is deleted.
Trips you shared with others stay with them. If you created one, the member who joined it first becomes its owner, and any public link you made for it is turned off.
What you added to shared trips – notes, photos and expenses – stays there for the other members, shown without your name.
Trips that only you were on are removed from the app.

What We Keep

Content of removed trips: it stays in our systems, no longer linked to your name or email address. If you want it erased permanently, email us and we will erase it.
Legal obligations: records we must keep by law, such as purchase records or information needed for legal claims.
Anonymous statistics: aggregated figures that cannot identify you.
Backups: copies in backups are kept for a limited period until they are overwritten.

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: In the App (Recommended)

Step 1: Open Voyager and go to the Profile tab

Step 2: Tap Settings (gear icon)

Step 3: Tap "Delete Account", tick the confirmation box and tap "Delete Account Permanently"

Method 2: By Email (If You Cannot Sign In)

Step 1: Send an email from the address associated with your Voyager account, including:

Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
Your Voyager account email address
Clear statement that you wish to delete your account and associated data
Reason for deletion (optional, helps us improve our service)

Step 2: Send to: privacy@voyagerjournal.app

Step 3: We will verify your identity (to protect your account) and process your request

Step 4: You will receive a confirmation email when the deletion is complete

Processing Timeline

Deleting your account in the app takes effect immediately. We handle email requests within 30 days of verifying your identity, in accordance with GDPR and KVKK. If we need more time, we will tell you why within that period.

After Deletion

Once your account is deleted, you can no longer use the Service with it. You can create a new account at any time, but your previous data will not be restored to it. Copies you shared outside Voyager, such as story images you posted, are not affected.

Voyager hesabınızı silmek onu hemen ve kalıcı olarak kapatır. Seyahatlerinizi, notlarınızı veya fotoğraflarınızı geri alamazsınız. Önce verilerinizin bir kopyasını almak isterseniz, hesabınızı silmeden önce bize e-posta gönderin; size gönderelim.

Hesabınızı silmek Voyager Pro aboneliğinizi iptal etmez. Önce App Store veya Google Play ayarlarınızdan iptal edin.

Silme Hakkınız

AB Genel Veri Koruma Tüzüğü (GDPR) ve Türkiye Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu (KVKK) kapsamında, kişisel verilerinizin silinmesini talep etme hakkına sahipsiniz ("unutulma hakkı"). Talebinizi geçerli yasalara ve aşağıda belirtilen sürelere uygun olarak işleyeceğiz.

Hesabınızı Sildiğinizde Ne Olur

Hesabınız hemen kapanır ve tüm cihazlarınızda oturumunuz sonlanır.
Adınız, e-posta adresiniz, profil fotoğrafınız ve bildirim anahtarlarınız silinir; giriş hesabınız da silinir.
Başkalarıyla paylaştığınız seyahatler onlarda kalır. Oluşturduğunuz bir seyahatte ilk katılan üye seyahatin sahibi olur ve bu seyahat için açtığınız genel bağlantı kapatılır.
Paylaşımlı seyahatlere eklediğiniz notlar, fotoğraflar ve harcamalar diğer katılımcılar için orada kalır ve adınız olmadan gösterilir.
Yalnızca sizin bulunduğunuz seyahatler uygulamadan kaldırılır.

Neleri Saklıyoruz

Kaldırılan seyahatlerin içeriği: adınız veya e-posta adresinizle bağlantısı olmadan sistemlerimizde kalır. Kalıcı olarak silinmesini isterseniz bize e-posta gönderin, silelim.
Yasal yükümlülükler: satın alma kayıtları veya hukuki talepler için gereken bilgiler gibi yasa gereği saklamamız gereken kayıtlar.
Anonim istatistikler: sizi tanımlayamayan toplu veriler.
Yedekler: yedeklerdeki kopyalar, üzerine yazılana kadar sınırlı bir süre saklanır.

Hesabınızı Nasıl Silersiniz

Yöntem 1: Uygulama İçinden (Önerilen)

Adım 1: Voyager'ı açın ve Profil sekmesine gidin

Adım 2: Ayarlar'a (dişli ikonu) dokunun

Adım 3: "Hesabı Sil"e dokunun, onay kutusunu işaretleyin ve "Hesabı Kalıcı Olarak Sil"e dokunun

Yöntem 2: E-posta ile (Giriş Yapamıyorsanız)

Adım 1: Voyager hesabınızla ilişkili e-posta adresinden şunları içeren bir e-posta gönderin:

Konu: "Hesap Silme Talebi"
Voyager hesap e-posta adresiniz
Hesabınızı ve ilişkili verileri silmek istediğinize dair açık beyan
Silme nedeni (opsiyonel, hizmetimizi geliştirmemize yardımcı olur)

Adım 2: Şu adrese gönderin: privacy@voyagerjournal.app

Adım 3: Kimliğinizi doğrulayacağız (hesabınızı korumak için) ve talebinizi işleyeceğiz

Adım 4: Silme tamamlandığında onay e-postası alacaksınız

İşlem Süresi

Uygulama içinden silme hemen gerçekleşir. E-postayla gelen talepleri, kimliğinizi doğruladıktan sonra GDPR ve KVKK'ya uygun olarak 30 gün içinde sonuçlandırırız. Daha fazla süreye ihtiyaç duyarsak nedenini bu süre içinde size bildiririz.

Silme Sonrası

Hesabınız silindikten sonra bu hesapla Hizmeti kullanamazsınız. İstediğiniz zaman yeni bir hesap oluşturabilirsiniz, ancak önceki verileriniz bu hesaba geri yüklenmez. Voyager dışında paylaştığınız kopyalar (örneğin paylaştığınız hikâye görselleri) bundan etkilenmez.
